This antique Oushak rug. The viewer is immediately taken on a journey through an almost dessert-hued landscape. From soft, pastel oranges/ Gold to sweet shades of cream, beige all aspects of the antique rug are unified in an attractive display of color. Angular, leafy motifs decorate the inside of the largest border encircling the work. Between the framework of this border, at the center of the rug, is a whimsical collection of blooms and petals. These elements seem to be carelessly cast around the beige field, as if done by nature, despite the symmetry present.
