Beautiful Beige Background Antique Art Deco Carpet, Country of Origin: England, Circa Date: 1930 – This antique English rug, which features a breathtaking Art Deco carpet design is elegant in its simplicity, establishing an understated charm that only adds to its visual value. It is comprised of earthy colors, made even more inviting and comfortable by the presence of several warm elements throughout the rug. A single deep ivory border surrounds the elements within, creating a grounding frame that conveys luxury and style. Within this frame are several rectangular shapes, light in color and arranged irregularly around a darker centerpiece. This antique rug is a Light Brown that connects with the outermost layer, reminiscent of a forest canopy overlooking the loamy earth. Three arrangements of horizontal stripes are present in the composition, one at the upper left corner, one at the center and one at the lower right corner, Beige in color, themselves further broken up by a brown streak of color running vertically at different points.

Cyrus is very knowledgeable and is familiar with every rug in his shop. We second guessed our impulse purchase and Cyrus shipped the other choice. We then shipped the first rug back and without any hesitation, he credited the overage$. It was fun shopping in store but I’d be comfortable shopping on line. I recommend stopping in when in the neighborhood. Beautiful hand made Persian Gabbeh. Area rug and runner. We’ll be back.
