Antique Mohajerans like this are distinguished from other Sarouks by their more monumental scale, and their richer, more dramatic coloration. Here a central rosette spews forth grand design of swaying vines brimming with leaves and flowers in shades of red and gold against a navy blue back field. The scale of the border is underscoring the grandeur of the field, while also using a red ground to achieve a framing color contrast. The lustrous, almost silken pile emphasizes the golden, jewel-like coloration of the carpet as a whole.

Don't forget to add a rug pad—it helps your rug feel better and last longer!
Cyrus is very knowledgeable and is familiar with every rug in his shop. We second guessed our impulse purchase and Cyrus shipped the other choice. We then shipped the first rug back and without any hesitation, he credited the overage$. It was fun shopping in store but I’d be comfortable shopping on line. I recommend stopping in when in the neighborhood. Beautiful hand made Persian Gabbeh. Area rug and runner. We’ll be back.
