Mid Century Vintage Persian Bakhtiari Rug, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Vintage Persian Rug, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century – This bright and powerfully-designed rug is one of the more distinct kinds of Persian rug. There are two branches to its ancestral family: one is tribal influence and the other is an urban weave. The two styles do not intermingle. The Bakhtiari rugs are one or the other. Tribal rugs often feature abstract designs of geometric figures of animals. Urban rugs tend to have botanical designs. When the rug features vibrant color and classic motifs in the urban tradition like this red floral design vintage Persian Bakhtiari rug , the lines and composition are quite precise and sophisticated.

Cyrus and the rest of the team are fabulous. From the art history and crafts lesson we got in store as he walked us through the rugs in the showroom to his willingness to bring multiple rugs to my home to try them out to make sure the one I chose was just right, it was a terrific experience all around. I’m so happy with my new, soft Gabbeh rug
