Description

Beautiful Colorful Long and Narrow Vintage Moroccan Rug, Country of Origin: Morocco, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century – Stacked lozenges, checkered medallions, humanoid figures and ancient protection symbols used to combat the evil eye are prominently featured across the field of this vibrantly colored vintage Moroccan rug, which highlights design elements preferred by the Moroccan weavers of vintage rugs. Created circa 1950, this vintage rug features colorfully striped flat-woven ends and distinctive tribal-influenced motifs rendered in a bold combination of ivory, saffron yellow and Kelly green set over a tomato red field. Horizontal bands decorated with checkered goz symbols and staggered Bargello stripes subtly frame the central medallion, which is in turn flanked by a group of checkered bands and towering stacked lozenges. Filled with tribal details and strong colors, this bold Moroccan carpet makes a grand impression with an eclectic visage ideal for rustic and modern spaces alike.

GEORGE Constantinople

I was walking by Pasargad this week when I was stopped in my tracks by a beautiful 13' x 9' rug hanging in the window. Since I have worked with Pasargad before and know the excellent quality of their rugs and the exceptionally knowledgable and kind staff, I went right in, spoke to Cyrus, and again he advised me extremely well! I purchased the rug right away. Three days later, after the special rug pad had arrived from NYC, Muhammad and Pablo came to my apartment to deliver the rug and set it in place. They were simply excellent!!! They removed some furniture from my living room with great care before laying out the pad and rug. They were very patient and precise in their work and definitely knew what they were doing. The rug is now the "star" of my living room and only Pasargad with its "five stars" can top that!!! I am very grateful to Pasargad and recommend it very highly!!!
