Flemish wall tapestry was woven on a large scale from wool with muted earth tones into a lavish landscape composition that is perfect for covering a large expanse of wall space. The bold border encircles the entire work with laurel bundle surrounded by spiraling acanthus plumes. The scene depicts a vantage point at the edge of a forest overlooking a beautiful river with bridge and just the hint of some dwellings in the distance. The lush foliage displayed includes an amazing variety of flora.
